IFR6000 ramp test set: This session is an introduction to testing 978 MHz UAT, transponders, TCAS, TIS and ADS-B. Participants will become familiar with testing an airframe’s transponder and certifying transponder operations to FAR Part 43 regulations. All attendees receive an Aeroflex notebook.


Aircell - Fort Worth 3
Presented by Bill Nielson, technical support manager

This course presents topics designed to ensure dealers are more efficient installers and supporters of Aircell products, including Axxess II, Axxess EZ, ST 3100, SwiftBroadband and Aircell Broadband. This workshop has a giveaway.


Flight Display Systems - Austin 4
Presented by David Gray, president

Cabin management systems: This session offers ways to avoid the “gotchas” of system integration, making the installation bulletproof. Three pairs of noise-canceling headsets will be given away.


FreeFlight Systems - Austin 3
Presented by Wayne McGrew, repair station manager

Information will be presented on the installation, sales and service of the FreeFlight Systems suite of avionics, including the 2101 Approach Plus family of GPS systems, as well as the new RA-4000 and RA-4500 radar altimeters. Detailed information about the new 4MB nav data upgrade for all customers with 1MB and 2MB data cards also will be discussed. In addition, the session covers the tiered dealer structure to ensure awareness of requirements to services and support FreeFlight products. Training certificates are provided.


Sandel Avionics - Fort Worth 6

This course discusses the installation and troubleshooting practices for Sandel’s 4-inch product line and gyros. This workshop has a giveaway.


Thrane & Thrane - Austin 1

This two-hour course provides first-hand knowledge of how to install and troubleshoot the Aero-SB Lite system.

Cobham Avionics, Integrated Systems Chelton Flight Systems - Fort Worth 3

This two-hour course focuses on continuing and preventative maintenance of the Cobham EFIS, ADAHRS and associated equipment. Basic FMS and TAWS (including HTAWS) functionality is included.

KSN 770 integrated communications navigation display: This presentation introduces the Bendix/King KSN 770 WAAS GPS/nav/com multi-function display and discusses its operational characteristics, features, configuration and troubleshooting. The session also includes information relating to interface of safety sensors (traffic, terrain and weather).

Laversab - Austin 2

Participants will learn the proper operation of the Laversab 6600. In addition, the differences between the 6600 3-output tester and the 6300 pitot-static tester are discussed. One free test set calibration will be given away.


L-3 Avionics Systems - Austin 4
Presented by William Tramper, senior field service engineer

The Trilogy ESI-1000 electronic standby instrument, the newest offering from L-3, is a solid-state instrument providing backup attitude and air-data information in Part 23 aircraft. This ESI-1000 training begins with a functional description of the system components, followed by theory of operation. The remainder of the training focuses on setup procedures and calibration following the removal and replacement of each system component.
