The AEA provides a well organized, cost effective, unhurried venue attracting a unique segment of the market: our product dealers, associates and suppliers. AEA at EAA’s AirVenture in Oshkosh

Pilot’s Guide to Avionics Now in the Hands of Thousands of Prospective Buyers

Pilots Guide to AvionicsThe 2010/2011 edition of the Aircraft Electronics Association’s Pilot’s Guide to Avionics debuted Monday during the opening day of EAA’s AirVenture, which ran from July 26 to Aug. 1, in Oshkosh, Wis. AEA staff distributed thousands of free Pilot’s Guides during the well-attended, week-long show.

This year, the AEA also debuted the AEA’s Pilot’s Guide to Avionics website, www.aeapilotsguide.com, where pilots and consumers will find an avionics glossary, repair station directory by state and country, archives of past Pilot’s Guide articles, and much more.

For the past eight years, the AEA has published the annual Pilot’s Guide to Avionics, a directory of AEA member certified repair stations and associate members, as well as a consumer’s guide containing educational articles and timely information about the avionics industry, its products and its people.

The AEA aims to help pilots make better avionics buying decisions and to assist them in locating the avionics experts at its member repair stations. Nearly 15,000 Pilot’s Guides are distributed each year at no charge. Members of the AEA automatically receive a copy of the Pilot’s Guide to Avionics. The back portion of the Pilot’s Guide is a directory of AEA member certified repair stations and associate members.

The AEA’s aim in publishing this annual guide is to help pilots make better avionics buying decisions and to assist them in locating repair stations certified by international regulatory authorities as capable of installing and maintaining these sophisticated pieces of equipment.

Nearly 15,000 Pilot’s Guides are distributed each year at no charge. Following AirVenture, the Pilot’s Guide also will be distributed at the AEA’s West, Central, East, Canada and South Pacific regional meetings this fall; NBAA Meeting & Convention (AEA Booth No. 8337) in October; AOPA Aviation Summit (AEA Booth No. 655) in November; WAI Conference in February; and the AEA International Convention & Trade Show from March 22-25, in Reno, Nev.

Some of the articles featured in the 2010/2011 Pilot’s Guide include: “New Products for 2010,” “Dream Panel Installations & Repair,” “Wi-Fi in the Sky,” “Hand-Held GPS,” “Adapting ADS-B,” “In-Flight Entertainment,” “Choosing an FAA-Certified Repair Station” and more.

For more information, visit the new Pilot’s Guide website at www.aeapilotsguide.com.
