Garmin’s training will use a different format this year based on dealer feedback from previous conventions and will be split between two rooms. There will be 30-minute and one-hour sessions scheduled in each room, and attendees can pick which sessions, in either room, they want to attend. Most sessions will be offered twice throughout the day. To qualify for Garmin dealer training requirement credit, attendees must participate in five of the seven hours of training. Attendance will be tracked electronically, so follow instructor directions closely.

The objective for Garmin’s training is to provide participants with in-depth knowledge and skills related to installation, troubleshooting and configuration of Garmin products. The training will cover various administration topics and tools relevant to the field. Training topics include:

• New product training, including overview, quoting, operations and installation considerations.
• Discussion of the latest installation, troubleshooting, configuration and administrative topics from training classes and FSE calls.
• Garmin autopilot installation trends and troubleshooting tips for the GFC 500, GFC 600, and GFC 600H. Separate one-hour sessions will be conducted for each of these systems.
• GDL 60 installation and registration topics.
• Retrofit integrated flight deck installation, troubleshooting, and configuration topics, including the G1000 NXi, King Air autothrottle and Emergency Autoland, and numerous best practices for integrated flight deck retrofit installations.
• TXi, GI 275, G3X, and G5 installation trends to include interface and configuration topics.
