Regulatory, Business & Technical Sessions

The biggest training week in the avionics industry.
Bring your technicians – get more training.

The AEA International Convention & Trade Show is where you need to be to learn about the latest regulatory issues impacting your business. Each year, representatives from the civil aviation authorities, including the FAA, TCCA, EASA and others, convene at the AEA convention to share vital regulatory information with all attendees.

The AEA’s popular technical training workshops provide hundreds of convention attendees with the latest in product information, troubleshooting tips, installation recommendations, answers to certification issues and more.

All sessions are approved for credit toward AEA’s Avionics Training Excellence Award and the FAA’s IA renewal and AMT awards.

Regulatory Leadership Forum

2015 will be the year of change. Congress is working on the FAA’s reauthorization that will affect the agency’s ability to implement NextGen, support certification and installation of avionics systems, and attend industry-sponsored trainings and conferences. There are major changes within Part 23 aircraft design, certification and maintenance. The Rotorcraft Directorate and the Fort Worth certification office had a major reorganization at the end of last year, which changes the dynamics of certification in the FAA’s Southwest region. In addition, 2015 will be the year of ADS-B as we expand the focus on effective installations in transport category aircraft. Finally, the international growth in UAS can’t be ignored as we consider our business models into the next decade.

Join FAA leadership from headquarters, and each directorate as we discuss these important topics affecting your business in 2015 and beyond.
