When the avionics industry reunites in Dallas, it will do so by following health guidelines and safety protocols designed to protect the well-being of convention attendees, exhibitors and hotel staff. The Aircraft Electronics Association encourages each individual to make an attendance decision based upon their own situation and comfort level. Please check this page often for updates as conditions change and new information becomes available.

The AEA and the Hilton Anatole are monitoring local and state public health guidelines and the latest information from the Centers for Disease Control. The AEA continues to consult with hotel officials at regular intervals to review the latest information.

One of the most challenging elements of COVID-19 guidance is the continuing uncertainty and lack of specific dates for a return to normalcy. These guidelines are developed to address the circumstances at the specific moment. Therefore, it is possible that guidelines may adjust as circumstances evolve. Please check this page often for updates as conditions change and new information becomes available.

Individuals will not be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination to attend the AEA International Convention & Trade Show.

Individuals traveling to Dallas by air are advised to review www.FlyHealthy.gov – a one-stop portal for the latest pandemic-related air-travel information from the Department of Transportation. The website walks an airline passenger (domestic and international) through each step of the air-travel process.

Hilton Hotels has partnered with RB, maker of Lysol & Dettol, to develop the Hilton CleanStay program, which builds upon its already rigorous cleaning standards by providing enhanced training for team members and increased cleaning of public areas. Learn more at www.hilton.com/en/corporate/cleanstay.

No, attendees and exhibitors are not required to wear a face covering at the AEA Convention. According to Hilton CleanStay program’s website at www.hilton.com/en/corporate/cleanstay, Hilton is asking guests to follow all local guidelines and laws with respect to wearing a mask in indoor public areas. Hilton team members will continue to wear face masks out of an abundance of caution.

Regarding local guidelines and laws, Texas Governor Greg Abbott recently issued several executive orders detailing the ongoing plan to open businesses and activities in Texas. According to Executive Order GA-34, “No person may be required by any jurisdiction to wear or to mandate the wearing of a face covering.” Learn more from the Texas Department of State Health Services at www.dshs.state.tx.us/coronavirus/opentexas.aspx.

Without a mask mandate, each individual should make their own decisions regarding attendance based on their own health and comfort levels. Individuals who choose to wear a face covering at the AEA Convention have the responsibility to bring the mask that works best for them.
