As noted during the Canadian roundtable discussion at the AEA Convention, the pandemic has allowed regulators the opportunity to focus on and make great progress with a number of issues impacting Canadian AMOs. Join, Ric Peri, AEA vice president of government and industry affairs; Kevin Bruce, AEA Canada regulatory consultant; and invited TCCA officials to discuss:
  1. Update on interim TCCA COVID-19 measures.
  2. CAR 521 changes and their effect on CAR 571.06 requirements, including an update on the exemption that Certification Standards is developing to implement the new “minor change framework” being proposed.
  3. Explanation of the NORSEE exemption and clarification on the previous ASL article on this subject.
  4. Update on the AC TCCA has been working on (ACA/SCA) titled “Performance and Certification of Maintenance Under an AMO," including the associated type training exemption for E-rated AMEs in development.
  5. International Agreement update.
  6. Status of the FAA STC grandfathering.
  7. Undocumented parts update.
  8. Update on NPA for flight data recorders for light aircraft.
  9. Nav Canada's adjustment to the ADS-B Out mandate.
