AEA Hosts ASTM F46 Aerospace Committee Meeting

The Aircraft Electronics Association is playing host to the ASTM International F46 Aerospace Committee at its headquarters, June 6-7, in Lee's Summit, Missouri, as several industry and subject-matter experts are defining the knowledge and skill requirements for avionics technicians. AEA Vice President Mike Adamson represents the association and serves as an executive officer on this committee.

The F46 Aerospace Committee was formed in 2014 and meets twice a year. The workscope includes the development and maintenance of internationally accepted standards and guidance materials for aerospace personnel education, qualification, testing, certification requirements, and continued education concurrent with technological advancement. The work includes but is not limited to maintenance.
