This is a major rewrite of the FAA guidance on applying for field approvals. Unfortunately, this AC also tends to set the criteria for ALL in-service modification. It is critically important that ALL AEA member companies take the time to review the proposed guidance and submit comments to the FAA.
The AEA Government & Industry Affairs committee is currently reviewing the document and will be submitting comments by the Jan. 7, 2016, due date.
