Avionics Technician

Who are we

Aero Maintenance Flight Center manages a flight school, Maintenance facility and an Avionics class rated repair station working on part 23 aircraft. Located on beautiful historic Pearson Field in Vancouver, WA. Aero Maintenance has been helping teach and get pilots off the ground since 1996. What duties you will be performing:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, inspect aircraft avionics, electrical and electronic equipment
  • Remove, install and configure avionics equipment per all applicable manuals.
  • Perform limited instrument calibrations in accordance with FAA regulations
  • Limited airframe modifications
  • Read and interpret installation diagrams
  • Communicate(verbal & written) aircraft status
  • Using basic hand and pneumatic tools
  • Printing wires and routing wire harnesses

Qualifications

  • Must be able to read and interpret diagrams
  • Preferably prior experience with Garmin, Stratus-Appareo, Genesys, and Trans-Cal products
  • Basic skills with avionics installation tooling, wiring, wiring repair and wiring installation
  • General understanding of electronic principals
  • Basic tool set is required however some tools can be provided at request
  • Must have high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Knowledge in FAR principals are preferred
  • A&P preferred but not required

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs, and steps
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
  • Frequently exposed to loud noises
