Position Overview:
Shadin is seeking a hands-on, energetic, and motivated Compliance Specialist to work in a challenging FAA
regulated industry. The Compliance Specialist will ensure our organization remains up to date on all
regulatory and licensing requirements in accordance with company, state, federal, and industry (Aerospace and Defense) regulations. This position will develop, implement, and administer policies and procedures
that keep Shadin’s products, processes, and physical site operating in a legal and ethical manner. This
position will report to the Director of Finance. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who wants to
work independently as well as with a talented team and help us continue a path of positive growth.
Responsibilities:
Partner with Business Development, Operations, HR, and Finance functions by reviewing and managing
contract terms and conditions for both customers and suppliers. Manage business certifications for
customers and government agencies. Manage international trade regulations and business cyber security
activities. Create and manage a Business Management System which documents and coordinates all
business policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Analyze and assist in negotiations of new
customer contracts ensuring fit within business compliance capabilities. Provide recommendations to
leadership regarding compliance issues and employee training. Develop and prepare status reports for
leadership team on key metrics. Conduct audits to ensure compliance against requirements. Maintain
accurate records of audit requests and responses. Recommend, develop and/or implement policies,
procedures, training, and processes designed to mitigate non-compliance. Support Finance team in day-to-day operations. Special projects dependent upon business needs.
Qualifications:
Associate or bachelor’s degree (Business, Economics/Finance/Accounting). Minimum of 2 to 5 years’
related experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail. Strong
computer and IT competence with proficiency in Microsoft Office . Demonstrated ability to work on a team
with other departments to collectively meet the organizations and customer’s needs. Excellent writing,
verbal, and presentation skills. Self-starter with the ability to meet deadlines, prioritize, multi-task and remain
flexible. Results driven.
