Mechanical/Aerospace Engineer

Position Details

Type:            Full Time     

Location:       913 Plaza Drive, Pocahontas, AR 72455         

Benefits:       Health Benefits, Vacation time, Supplemental Insurance, 401k            

Schedule:     Monday-Friday – 8 Hour Shifts

Starting Pay: Negotiable, Based on experience

 

Position Summary

This position will develop a variety of mechanical and structural engineering solutions for civilian and military use helicopter rotor blades.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Create revisions to detail parts and assemblies.
  • Mature design concepts in support of a revision or new part release when a revision is not the appropriate avenue for change.
  • Update detail, assembly, and installation CAD models and engineering for the airframe.
  • Assist in researching technical data and developing solutions for the project or assignment.
  • Coordinate with other engineering, manufacturing, or specialty personnel to resolve problems and execute revision routing.
  • Support the development of product changes and improvements responding to data/action requests from procurement, manufacturing, tooling etc.
  • Preparation of engineering change requests, change orders, and engineering drawing maintenance.
  • Apply technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques to provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
  • Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively to coordinate design activities, prioritize tasks, and report status to design leads.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with customers, internal and external suppliers, as well as horizontal integrations across the other teams to complete design tasks.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in aerospace structural design.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen due to project requirements.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak the English Language.
  • Must be able to pass a Federal DOT drug and alcohol screen

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Combination of Office and Shop Floor settings
  • Frequent use of computers, phones, and video conferencing tools
  • Flexibility to occasionally work extended hours to meet project deadlines
  • Travel to customer sites using a personal vehicle may be required
  • Work within heavily regulated aerospace standards and protocols
