Schedule: Monday-Friday – 8 Hour Shifts
Starting Pay: Negotiable, Based on experience
Position Summary
This position will develop a variety of mechanical and structural engineering solutions for civilian and military use helicopter rotor blades.
Principal Responsibilities
- Create revisions to detail parts and assemblies.
- Mature design concepts in support of a revision or new part release when a revision is not the appropriate avenue for change.
- Update detail, assembly, and installation CAD models and engineering for the airframe.
- Assist in researching technical data and developing solutions for the project or assignment.
- Coordinate with other engineering, manufacturing, or specialty personnel to resolve problems and execute revision routing.
- Support the development of product changes and improvements responding to data/action requests from procurement, manufacturing, tooling etc.
- Preparation of engineering change requests, change orders, and engineering drawing maintenance.
- Apply technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques to provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
- Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively to coordinate design activities, prioritize tasks, and report status to design leads.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with customers, internal and external suppliers, as well as horizontal integrations across the other teams to complete design tasks.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in aerospace structural design.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Must be a U.S. Citizen due to project requirements.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak the English Language.
- Must be able to pass a Federal DOT drug and alcohol screen
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Combination of Office and Shop Floor settings
- Frequent use of computers, phones, and video conferencing tools
- Flexibility to occasionally work extended hours to meet project deadlines
- Travel to customer sites using a personal vehicle may be required
- Work within heavily regulated aerospace standards and protocols
