Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and maintain compliance with FAA Part 145 Repair Station and FAA part 21 PMA, TC, and PC regulations. This role is critical in ensuring adherence to AS9100 standards, Quality Management Systems, and customer requirements.
Principal Responsibilities
- Implement and manage the Quality Control Program to ensure compliance with FAA Part 145, Part 21, and AS9100 standards.
- Ensure quality control functions align with FAA regulations, Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and customer requirements.
- Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators to measure the effectiveness of quality programs.
- Oversee the inspection program (incoming, in-process, and final) for the Repair Station.
- Conduct internal and external audits to ensure regulatory and customer compliance.
- Lead Corrective Action Response efforts and drive root cause analysis for continuous improvement.
- Supervise and develop Chief Inspectors to ensure quality compliance.
- Oversee the tool calibration program and ensure proper documentation and maintenance.
- Manage the training program for Part 145 and Part 21 to meet compliance requirements.
- Serve as the primary liaison with FAA, EASA, and other Civil Aviation Authorities on quality matters.
- Ensure proper documentation of aircraft data in compliance with FAA regulations and company policies.
- Work closely with customers and suppliers to resolve quality-related issues.
Position Requirements
- 5-10 years of aviation experience, with at least 2 years in a QA/QC role and
- 2 years in a management position.
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate with Inspection Authorization (IA).
- Experience with EASA regulations is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of AS9100 (implementation experience preferred); AS9110 knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Infor, SAP, or RAMCO.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint)
- Excellent leadership and decision-making abilities.
- High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus.
- Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screen
