Safety & Training Coordinator

Position Details

Type:            Full Time     

Location:       913 Plaza Drive, Pocahontas, AR 72455         

Benefits:       Health Benefits, Vacation time, Supplemental Insurance, 401k            

Schedule:     Monday-Friday – 8 Hour Shifts

Starting Pay: $22 - $25 per hour, Negotiable depending on experience

 

Position Summary

This position will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety and training programs ensuring all personnel have with the skills and knowledge to perform their duties.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Develop safety policies/procedures in accordance with OSHA and Aviation Authorities.
  • Maintain a Safety Management System and develop a safety team.
  • Investigate incidents/near-misses, provide reports and recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Oversee the daily operations to identify opportunities for improvement of safety and training.
  • Conduct risk assessments to minimize workplace accidents, illnesses, or hazards.
  • Prepare safety and training reports and present the information to management.
  • Develop and utilize training outlines/material in accordance with Aviation regulations
  • Provide initial, recurrent, and refresher training for all safety and repair processes
  • Maintain personnel training files ensuring currency and accuracy.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred
  • Proven supervisory experience with experience developing and managing safety and training programs
  • OSHA-30 Certification
  • Must be able to pass a Federal DOT drug and alcohol screen
