Supply Chain Analyst Level 2

SUPPLY CHAIN ADMINISTRATOR – L2

OVERVIEW

This position is an integral part of the Supply Chain team which supports Avgroup internal and external Sales teams. The duties and responsibilities of this position involve the creation of purchase and repair orders as needed to support both inventory requirements and Avgroup Sales activities. The preferred candidate must be able to demonstrate the basic understanding of purchasing activities. In addition the preferred candidate must demonstrate a willingness to learn, a positive attitude, and attention to details. The work environment is occasionally fast paced, however quality is never to be compromised, either in the work activity being accomplished, or the components being purchased or repaired. Above average communication skills both written and verbal are required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evaluate suppliers based upon quality, cost, services offered, other capabilities, and turn time
  • Maintain supplier’s purchase and/or repair price quotes in Avgroup’s ERP system
  • Serve as the liaison between Avgroup and assigned suppliers
  • Issue purchase, repair, exchange, and warranty claims as needed
  • Monitor open purchase orders, repair orders, exchange orders, and warranty claims to ensure timeliness of completion both externally and internally
  • Assist in the coordination of clearing inbound rejection issues
  • Manage work activities in accordance with department and company key performance indicators (KPI’s)
  • Learn best business practices to improve all skill sets required to perform this role
  • Participate in team projects when assigned
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management from time to time

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance, or other relevant business field
  • 2 years prior experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrate a good working knowledge of procurement activities as they pertain to this role
  • Demonstrate above average skills utilizing Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Demonstrate good communication skills both written and verbal
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and a willingness to learn new skill sets as they pertain to procurement activities
  • Work flexible hours to meet company operational requirements

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

  • Masters degree in Business Administration, Finance or other relevant field
  • APICS or ISM certification or similar
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
  • Aviation component repair and overhaul knowledge
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Familiarity with aviation FAR’s related to aircraft and aircraft maintenance activities
