AVIATION: Avionics Integration Specialist
Job Description
Job Summary
The Avionics Integration Specialist assists in the creation and validation of electrical drawings for avionics
and aircraft cabin system modifications. This integration specialist also provides engineering analysis of
planned repairs or modifications; prepares and submits substantiation data; and monitors FAA or DER
review and approval. In addition, this person works hand in hand with shop floor leads and technicians to
resolve technical issues and aids in the successful completion of planned work scopes.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides engineering drawings, analyses and liaison support for STC and field approval projects
- Provides research and preliminary data for the development of products to support sales functions
- Manages engineering orders and traveler documents
- Validates quotes to approved data for accuracy
- Provides mentoring to floor leads and technicians on systems information and best practices
- Maintains a positive work environment by facilitating open communication with shop technicians and management team
- Complies with company safety standards
- Performs other duties as directed
Qualifications & Job Requirements
Experience:
- 6 or more years’ experience in Avionics System integration
- Collins, Garmin, and Honeywell experience a plus
- Experience assisting with STC projects preferred
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred
- Airframe & Powerplant Certifications preferred
