Avionics Technician / Installer

Bison Aviation, LLC is now accepting applications for one or more full-time general aviation avionics technicians and installers at our Boerne Stage Airfield (5C1) general aviation repair station. Candidates must have a strong background and work history performing avionics repairs, installations, and modifications on general aviation (piston singles & twins / turboprops / light jets). Technician will perform: Avionics troubleshooting & fault isolation. Avionics installation & repairs. Avionics & instrument inspections. 14 CFR 91.411 & 91.413 Inspections. Sheet metal fabrication and repairs. General aircraft maintenance. Creation of log entries / 337 / and other applicable paperwork. Qualifications and Skills The following licensures / certifications are preferred (but not required): FAA A&P License FAA IA Designation AET Certification Type Specific training certificates for applicable airframes or avionics. Ideal candidates will possess significant experience with current generation avionics platforms from major manufacturers, such as Garmin, Avidyne, Aspen, etc. and will be familiar and comfortable working in the FAA Part 145 ecosystem. Pay will be based upon applicant's existing skill set and familiarity with general aviation aircraft and avionics systems.
