Avionics Installation Technician
3-5 years experience preferred. Physical ability to perform all the functions of the job. Must be able to fluently read, write, speak, and understand the English language. General knowledge of applicable FAA part 145 regulatory requirements. Must be able to Install, configure, program, test, and certify a wide variety of avionics equipment. Advanced knowledge of Standard aircraft wiring practices. Flexibility to work changing shifts including on-call / AOG coverage to include nights and weekends, on an as-needed and/or short notice basis. Primary Duties: -Execute tasks in accordance with the applicable equipment manufactures manuals and company repair station procedures ensuring compliance with FAA requirements. -Manage time and communicate project status and schedule delays in a timely manner. -Perform modifications and fabrication of wiring and electrical harnesses, fixtures, and associated equipment in accordance with installation manuals, worksheets, and engineering drawings. -Manage and complete complex installation tasks on aircraft avionics systems during installations. -Disassemble and reassemble aircraft interior as directed to facilitate avionics installation or repairs. -Interpreting wiring diagrams for harness fabrication, system testing and troubleshooting. -Proper soldering techniques.
