Director of Quality

Spirit Aeronautics is a company of uniquely skilled and dedicated aerospace professionals providing high levels of expertise to aircraft owners and operators for the maintenance and modernization of their aircraft. Our team enjoys a family 1st, career advancing work environment and very interesting projects in leading edge aircraft technologies. Our current Director of Quality is retiring and we have some very big shoes to fill as his replacement.

This role holds a direct responsibility for the safety & quality control standards of our aircraft technical services in accordance with a wide variety of FAA regulations, our client’s high expectations and the Spirit Aeronautics team’s benchmark for excellence. Based in Columbus, Ohio, this person will be our primary liaison with the FAA for our team as we operate throughout the U.S.A.

The right candidate will be a well experienced aircraft maintainer with an Airframe & Powerplant certificate and an Inspection Authorization endorsement. Having expertise on the FAA Repair Station & Aircraft Maintenance regulations, being highly organized and computer capable, this person will be a problem solver and a proactive fixer.

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic Certificate is required.
  • FAA Inspection Authorization qualification is required.
  • NCATT Aircraft Electronics Technician certificate is desired.
  • Associates degree or higher in Aviation Technologies is desired.
