Avionics Technician

What You Will Do:

As an Avionics Technician, you will be responsible for performing avionics troubleshooting, repairs, installations, fabrication & modification of wire bundles and assisting the Revv Aviation Maintenance department as needed.

  • Performing avionics inspections, repairs, alterations, and installations on aircraft in accordance with current technical data provided.

  • Fabricating wiring bundles in accordance with engineering drawings and current technical data provided.

  • Performing installations of wiring in aircraft, as well as the removal of wiring from the aircraft.

  • Performing altitude reporting system, static system, and transponder checks per 14 CFR part 91.411 & 91.413 and part 43, Appendices E and F.

  • Repairing components approved under the repair station capability list.

  • Properly operating all specialty or calibrated tools and equipment within your assigned area of responsibility.

  • Properly recording the work performed in accordance with methods established by the repair station.

  • Maintaining the preservation of all parts during the work process installation with proper handling and storage.

  • Reporting all missing or inoperative tools and equipment to the Avionics Supervisor.

  • Maintaining all shop equipment and vehicles in a working and fully functional order.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Who You Are: 

Qualifications:

  • Avionics experience:

    • Experience working on and troubleshooting aircraft avionics and airframe systems on general aviation or corporate aviation aircraft.

    • Experience fabricating and installing wiring harnesses/bundles on bench and in aircraft.

    • Fundamental knowledge of avionics, electronic and electrical test equipment.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to obtain FAA repairman certificate.

  • Must be 18 years of age.

  • Must have current driver’s license.

  • Must have high school diploma or GED.

  • Must be able to safely operate company motor vehicles.

  • Must have basic computer skills.

  • Must be able to work in temperature extremes and in confined spaces.
