Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Avionics) - Victoria, Australia

About Us:
At Avionics 2000, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional aviation maintenance services with CASA Part 145, CAR 30 and Indonesian Part 145 approvals. This provides us with the capability to maintain aircraft in multiple countries as well as a wide range of aeronautical components under 5 categories: engine, airframe, electrical, instrument and radio. Our team is dedicated to ensuring the safety and performance of various aircraft, and we are seeking am experienced engineer to join us as the Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Avionics).

Position Overview:

Your new position as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Avionics) will see you working within the Avionics team, performing Aircraft Maintenance and rectification as per manufacturers’ and company specification. You will be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining the avionics components of various aircraft. 

Position responsibilities:

  • Report to the Maintenance Manager
  • Ensure all maintenance & repairs are carried out to the highest standards
  • Ensure compliance in accordance with company procedures manual and CASA regulations
  • Mentor and guide company Avionics apprentices
  • Liaise with customers as required

Selection Criteria:

  • Completed a Certificate IV or Diploma in Aeroskills (Avionics)
  • Demonstrated experience working on General Aviation aircraft (Fixed/rotor wing, piston and turbine)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Have proven problem-solving skills and the ability to handle competing demands, particularly when under pressure
  • Commitment to being customer focused with the flexibility and willingness to undertake other reasonable duties as required
  • High level of motivation with a team focused work ethic
  • Ability to follow procedures
  • High degree of personal integrity and professional accountability
  • Willingness to travel local and abroad
  • Employment is dependent upon the completion of a negative drug and alcohol screen, agreeing to a police clearance check and ability to obtain an ASIC
  • Must be an Australian citizen or resident
  • A valid Australian driver’s license

Installation or line maintenance experience with the following systems will receive preference

  • Garmin Avionics ( GFC/GTN/G500/G600/G1000 etc.)
  • Collins Aerospace ( Pro Line series etc )
  • Honeywell legacy Avionics
  • Avidyne Avionics
