Avionics Department Manager
Wanted: Experienced Avionics Department Manager
Our company is expanding and looking for an experienced Avionics Expert to join our team to help lead our new Avionics Department. This position is not an entry level position and requires the applicant to be an Avionics Technician who has the skills and ability to diagnose issues with General Aviation Avionics. The position will also require the applicant to have the ability to estimate and plan avionics systems for General Aviation.
The Part 145 Repair Station requires the applicant to work with the management of the company to help standardize operation of the department and help with the obtaining of initial equipment and inventory.
The position will require the applicant to install, inspect, repair, remove, adjust, test, and diagnose items. This list may not include all duties.
Requirements:
- 3 Years Prior Avionics Experience is required. Including Installations, Diagnosing, IFR Certifications.
- Management Experience leading a team is a plus
- The Ability to Read, Write, and Understand English (Requirement of the FAA for the Part 145 Repair Station). Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and promoting safety best practices.
- Physical ability to perform tasks that may involve bending, stooping, and lifting heavy equipment.
- Prior Repairman Certificate at a Repair Station a Benefit.
- Some Cross Over between Maintenance/Avionics.
- The ability to work in tight spaces is required.
- Have their own basic tools.
- Must have a current Drivers License
