Director of Maintenance/ A&P/ IA

Horizon Avionics Inc. is searching for motivated and experienced General Aviation Mechanics. We are based on Mcghee Tyson Airport and do little to no travel maintenance. Our primary aircraft audience is composed of private propellor-driven aircraft, such as Cessna 172 and 182, Beachcraft Bonanza and Barron, Cirrus SR series and Piper Cherokee, Malibu and Mirages to name a few. Standard working hours are from 8am to 5pm with an hour break for lunch Monday through Friday.

Mechanics are expected to assist/lead in annual inspections, engine changes, oil changes, troubleshooting and 100 hour inspections. Applicants are expected to work well with team members, have troubleshooting experience within the field, and own a basic set of aviation hand tools.

For Mechanics that have their A&P license and have the experience for an IA certificate, Company sponsorship of testing and licensing will be provided after a probationary period. We offer company paid Bakers test prep. schooling in Nashville (per diem, hotel, 40hr pay for the week will be paid) and cost for the IA testing.
