Inspector

Gigaflight Connectivity Inc. is looking for an Inspector who will be responsible for day-to-day inspection of incoming products at different phases in their development to ensure they meet a set of consistent standards. Duties include performing visual/mechanical inspections, identifying the cause of quality problems, documenting them and working to correct them. In this role you will be onsite at the Greendale, WI facility.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Incoming Inspector – connectors, cable, tools, and production materials. Provide guidance and cross training for individuals with inspection responsibilities.
  • Maintain and update the work instructions related to quality and incoming inspection processes.
  • Project related activities to work to improve inspection processes.
  • Perform cycle counts.
  • Perform inventory maintenance for connectors, cable, production consumables and shelf-life items.
  • Back-up for picking/spooling/packaging/shipping bulk cable, connector and cable assembly orders. 
  • Back-up for Outgoing Inspection process for cable assemblies.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Experience Needed

  • Education and/or Experience
    • Technical training, vocational coursework, or other education beyond high school preferred.
    • Equivalent work experience in quality or inspection roles will be considered, minimum 5 years preferred.
    • Experience working in environments governed by ISO and AS quality standards.
  • Technical Skills
    • Strong understanding of ISO and AS quality requirements, including nonconformance processing.
    • Ability to identify counterfeit parts and ensure compliance with FOD (Foreign Object Debris) prevention requirements.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams) and general office equipment (PC, scanner, copier, printer).
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and inspection documentation.
    • Familiarity with Lean principles, including 5S workplace organization.
  • Leadership & Communication
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
    • Demonstrated organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills.
    • Ability to coach, train, and support team members on inspection processes and quality system requirements.
  • Other Qualifications
    • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
    • Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and documentation.
  • Physical Requirements
    • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
    • Lift/Carry 10-30 lbs., sometimes up to 50 lbs.
    • Handling small parts.
    • Using gauges, calipers, micrometers.
