Avionics Technician – Full Time

Knoxville Aviation is a growing FAA Part 145 Repair Station located in Knoxville, Iowa, specializing in general aviation maintenance and avionics. As we expand into becoming a Garmin dealer, we are looking for a motivated Avionics Technician to join our team full-time.

We are a small, tight-knit shop with a strong safety culture and a “get-it-done” attitude. If you enjoy troubleshooting, working across a variety of aircraft, and want to grow into a leadership role, this is a great opportunity.


What You’ll Do

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair avionics systems in GA aircraft (fixed-wing and rotorcraft)
  • Perform system diagnostics, wiring, and panel work
  • Assist with Garmin avionics installations and upgrades
  • Support pitot-static and transponder testing operations (91.411/91.413)
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with FAA regulations
  • Work closely with maintenance team on integrated aircraft projects

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in avionics installation and troubleshooting
  • Strong electrical and systems diagnostic skills
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical manuals
  • A&P preferred (not required, but a plus)
  • Self-starter with a willingness to learn and grow
  • Team-oriented attitude with a good sense of humor
