Preferred Airparts LLC

Avionics Specialist

Preferred Airparts seeks an experienced Avionics Specialist for our FAA Part 145 repair station. This role supports a small avionics team serving general aviation and customer-owned aircraft, as well as Priority Air Charter’s Cessna 208 Series Caravans, Pilatus PC-12s, and an occasional turbine- converted DC-3.

As our general aviation capabilities grow, we need a skilled technician who can contribute immediately, work independently, and uphold shop standards. The role is primarily shop- based, with occasional local travel within about 30 minutes for off- site inspections. Full-time employees are eligible for competitive benefits.

The Avionics Specialist will perform avionics inspections, troubleshooting, and installations across a mixed general aviation fleet, while helping maintain and grow our Part 145 repair station's capabilities. This role involves diagnosing complex system issues, assisting with installation planning and scoping, and supporting field approval documentation for non-standard installations. You'll contribute to a growing repair station team focused on safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
