Electrical Engineer

GLOBAL AVATION TECHNOLOGIES is looking to hire a qualified Electrical Engineer to join the team!

Position Summary: Responsible for performing technical and administrative engineering tasks to secure and sustain FAA regulations, assist in leading projects to provide continued leadership for systems and equipment integration on aircraft supporting performance and reliability improvements.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • AutoCAD experience
  • Must know the fundamentals of 14CFR and means of compliance with the regulations
  • Identifies, documents, and coordinates technical aspects for development of new interfaces / functionality or changes to existing complex system functionality in order to support market-driven or specific customer requirements
  • Creates system requirements, supporting rationale, technical description documentation, and performs limited trade-off analysis for derivative/delta functionality, following requirements standards and best- practices
  • Coordinates implementation details for program-specific execution of system-level processes, recommends improvements to processes
  • May provide support for tool definition, development, and/or maintenance
  • May generate bench test plans/procedures for select interfaces or functionality, and execute these procedures
  • Leverages advanced troubleshooting skills to provide assistance with troubleshooting equipment in the field, including identifying technical root cause and suggesting corrective action for given problems using sound problem solving techniques
  • With some guidance, coordinates technical roadmaps
  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge in one or more of the following technical areas: systems integration, system safety, and system requirements
  • Demonstrates advanced troubleshooting skills
  • Driven problem solver with proven success in solving difficult problems
  • Prepare engineering drawings, reports, analyses, correspondence and data to be used for FAA certification of new and existing STC modifications and PMA parts
  • Coordinate FAA approvals of PMA, STC, major/minor design changes and repairs
  • Interface directly with the FAA in various areas such as aircraft certification, flight standards, manufacturing inspection and continued airworthiness
  • Direct meetings and technical presentations
  • Perform checks of drawing quality
  • Maintain engineering files and company records as required
  • Contributes positive and innovative input toward company objectives
  • Build and maintain positive client relationships
  • Ability to meet deadlines and budget (project and time management)
  • Develop timelines for the program
  • Interface with company technicians and outside vendors/suppliers to develop product design specifications and optimize production processes
  • Apply technical knowledge and/or programming skills in solving complex problems
  • Lead engineering R&D projects using appropriate personnel and test resources



Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.

Experience: Prefer 4+ years of related experience.

Computer Skills: Computer skills using Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Word preferred, proficient in CAD design.

Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) or Electrical Engineer (EE) Certification a preferred but not required.
