Avionics Installer & Technician

Precision Support Services, LLC is a long-standing Part 145 Repair Station looking to add an additional Avionics Technician to its team. Located in McMinnville, OR (KMMV).

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Test and troubleshoot instruments, avionics components and assemblies using calibrated test equipment.
  • Install and/or replace electrical components, assemblies, and systems in aircraft.
  • Set up and operate ground and flight test equipment to perform operational checks and functional flight tests of electronic systems.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and fellow technicians to ensure timeliness of work completion.
  • Keep and maintain records of maintenance and repair work as required by applicable FARs and company procedures.

Required Skills

  • Must be able to pass a DOT-FAA pre-employment drug screening physical.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Must have sufficient experience to obtain a Repairman’s Certificate.
  • 2+ years of recent experience in General Aviation Avionics preferred.
  • Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and electrical equipment installation drawings.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and solid knowledge of all aircraft mechanical and electrical system functions.
  • Strong background in Garmin and Honeywell products.
  • Working knowledge of FAA regulations and Inspection Procedures as related to aircraft electronics.

Preferred Skills

  • Airframe and Powerplant Certificate.
  • Airframe specific experience with Bell Helicopter, Airbus Helicopter, Piper, Cessna and Pilatus.
  • Knowledge of CAD programming.
