Job Description

INTERIOR INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN

**Shifts include Monday through Thursday (four 10 hour shifts), or Friday/Saturday/Sunday (three 12 hour shifts)**

Western Aircraft has an immediate opening for an Interior Installation Technician. This position will require someone who is a team player with a strong work ethic. In this role you will be responsible for the removal and reinstallation of interior furnishings on private and corporate aircraft consisting of carpets, seats, headliners, wall panels, and cabinetry. Our preferred candidate will have a flexible schedule, be willing to work overtime as needed and will be required to have their own basic tools.

Job Duties:

  • Patterns, cuts and binds carpet and mats
  • Assists team members with other functions for aircraft interior including upholstery work
  • Accurately completes required paperwork and work order details in Corridor on a consistent and timely basis
  • Utilizes support equipment in a safe manner to accomplish work tasks
  • Understands and follows all safety procedures
  • Assists with the shipping of delicate interior items (packaging, crating and protection) as required
  • Complies with the documenting procedure of sprayed paint/glue and record waste as required
  • Completes, or assists with the completion of, burn testing documents, coupons and travelers as required for sign off of work
  • Coordinates, or assists with the coordination of, vendor services for plating, flame treatment, placards, fabrications etc.
  • Works overtime as required
  • Performs other duties as required

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of two years’ experience in aviation interiors
  • Possess tools necessary to perform job
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to accurately complete documentation
  • Skilled with power operated machinery
  • Ability to work to specifications with an extremely high attention to detail
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces and work at heights, as well as bend, twist and stoop
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
