MRO Maintenance Team Lead-Turbo Prop

Job Summary

The Maintenance Team Lead is responsible for managing technicians, equipment, and other resources needed to complete individual corporate aircraft maintenance projects; and coordinate projects by overseeing completion as required per a work scope or package

Duties & Responsibilities

The Maintenance Team Lead is responsible for managing technicians, equipment, and other resources needed to complete individual corporate aircraft maintenance projects; and coordinate projects by overseeing completion as required per a work scope or package

Experience & Competencies:

  • Directly supervises Lead Technicians
  • Responsible for motivating, mentoring, training, and providing constructive criticism to team members
  • Works with the Service Manager to perform annual team personnel reviews and monitors disciplinary actions put in place by the service manager to improve performance
  • Assigns manpower to all jobs and ensures on time completion of projects

Other Competencies:

  • Leads projects as needed and provides oversight of all shop activity
  • Prioritizes work flow on assigned jobs
  • Maintains high level of communication with Service Manager, Production Scheduling, and other departments with regard to project status and work flow
  • Makes technical decisions regarding discrepancies and job flow
  • Ensures safety procedures are followed at all times

Qualifications & Job Requirements

  • Minimum six (6) years’ experience working with general aviation airframes supported by Western Aircraft
  • Minimum two years’ supervisory experience
  • Meets all qualifications of a Lead Technician
  • Advanced troubleshooting abilities

Education:

  • Airframe & Powerplant certifications required
