The Aircraft Electronics Association has entered into a working agreement with the International Aerospace Quality Group, and the organizations have signed a memorandum of understanding.
The IAQG is a cooperative global organization of companies providing aviation and space products and services. IAQG develops and promulgates aviation quality standards that are used throughout the Americas, the Asia-Pacific region and Europe. While the primary focus of the IAQG tends to be commercial and military operations, the technical elements of the quality standards are applicable and usable at every level of aviation.
The AEA is working with IAGQ on the AEA’s safety management systems (SMS) approach to assure it meets the goals and objectives of the worldwide aerospace safety and quality standards. The organizations will work together to support common projects and initiatives, wherever practical, by combining forces and resources to avoid duplication and to deliver better results, faster.
