The first AEA Regional Meeting of 2014 is underway in Vienna, Austria, as the 28th annual AEA Europe Regional Meeting takes place April 14-15 at the Vienna Marriott Hotel. This is the premier event for avionics maintenance organizations in Europe.
The two-day event began April 14 with a regulatory update for Europe, moderated by Ric Peri, AEA vice president of government and industry affairs. The first day includes an update on European Aviation Safety Agency airworthiness rulemaking activities by Juan Anton, along with technical training and product information sessions from several companies, and an exhibit hall filled with the latest avionics and instruments products and services.
The AEA annually hosts regional meetings in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Latin America and the South Pacific. The AEA Regional Meetings offer a forum to see, hear and learn about all the new technology on the market, network with industry peers and discover best practices for the aviation repair station industry. Attendees and exhibitors gather for two to three days of regulatory and technical seminars, business management sessions and exhibits.
The next scheduled regional meeting for AEA members takes place in Bogota, Colombia, Aug. 20-21.
