Essential Duties and Responsibilities included, but not limited to:

  • Complete routine and non-routine maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing and replacing aircraft communication, navigational and electrical equipment.
  • Complete functional testing and inspections of the avionics on our fleet and customer aircraft.
  • Perform the installation and testing of electrical/avionics wire harnesses, components, and systems on aircraft per specifications, drawings, and maintenance manuals.
  • Build wire harnesses and install using acceptable practices for terminating, splicing, soldering of wiring, and coax cabling.
  • Set up and operates necessary test equipment to test transponder, communication and navigational equipment.

·         Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications.

  • Perform assigned duties with integrity to ensure quality standards are met on all required inspections and work assignments.

Required skills/Abilities:

  • Shows proficiency with avionics test equipment and inspection tools and possesses a working knowledge of standard test equipment, ohmmeters, pitot static test boxes, transponder test sets and comm/navigation testing equipment.
  • An ideal candidate must have problem solving and organizational skills and the ability to perform basic inspections and repairs.
  • Ability to learn new skills and methods of repair.
  •          An ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of pertinent, verifiable, practical experience.
  •          Verifiable general aviation, all-around flightline avionics experience.
  •          Experience with avionics system installation and avionics troubleshooting on aircraft.
  •          Ability to work off drawings, schematics and perform installs.
  •         Tech savvy with experience installing harnesses and programing
  • Must be comfortable in small, and sometimes uncomfortable spaces, for extended periods of time.
  • Candidates must provide their own basic hand tools or ability to acquire upon hire.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work meticulously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Must be able to read, understand and accomplish maintenance manual procedures. Must be able to research, read wire prints, and order parts.
  • Utilizes a good understanding of electronic theory to effect timely repairs.
  • Demonstrates organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to perform consistently under stressful conditions.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic principles, aircraft wiring, and schematic diagrams.
  • Familiarity with FAA regulations and industry standards governing avionics maintenance and installations.
  • Active, valid Driver’s License required.
  • High school diploma, or GED required.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and FAA regulated drug/alcohol tests prior to start. Will be enrolled in our random drug pool.

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician performs maintenance, inspections, repairs, and modifications on business jet aircraft in accordance with applicable FAA regulations, OEM manuals and RSQC Manual. The Maintenance Technician ensures all work is performed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining accurate documentation and supporting overall maintenance team goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on aircraft, systems, and components.
  • Troubleshoot and correct discrepancies using approved technical data.
  • Document all maintenance activities in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures.
  • Assist in the removal and installation of aircraft components, engines, landing gear, and related systems.
  • Follow work instructions, drawings, and maintenance manuals to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Request inspections and coordinate with Crew chiefs and Quality personnel as required.
  • Ensure all tools, equipment, and parts are properly used, controlled, and returned to designated locations.
  • Adhere to FOD (Foreign Object Damage), tool control, and safety programs.
  • Maintain work areas in a clean, organized, and professional condition.
  • Support aircraft towing, jacking, and general ground handling as required.
  • Communicate effectively with DOM, Crew Chiefs, Quality Inspectors, and management regarding work progress and issues.
  • Participate in on-the-job and recurrent training as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support operational and customer needs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate or at least a Airframe Certificate.
  • Working knowledge of FAA regulations (Parts 43, 65, and 145) and standard maintenance practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret manufacturer maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other technical data.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Must supply own basic hand tools in good condition.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience maintaining business jets (See capabilities list for requirements.
  • On-the-job training or OEM training on specific aircraft(s).
  • Understanding of basic ways to make maintenance work easier, faster, and more efficient.

Performance Standards

  • All work must meet FAA regulations, OEM manuals, and company procedures without deviation.
  • Maintenance documentation must be complete, correct, and submitted promptly.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including PPE, FOD prevention, and tool control.
  • Repairs and installations must meet manufacturer specifications and pass required inspections.
  • Complete tasks within established timelines while minimizing delays.
  • Maintain clean work areas, communicate effectively, and demonstrate teamwork.
  • Participate in required training and maintain technical proficiency.

Working Environment

  • Primarily hangar-based and engine shop environments with occasional outdoor ramp duties.
  • Exposure to aircraft noise, exhaust gases, and moderate lifting and climbing.
  • May involve confined space or elevated platform work.
  • Overtime and weekend work may be required to meet customer delivery schedules.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·         Perform troubleshooting, repair, and testing of avionics and airframe systems including communication, navigation, autopilot, flight management, and cabin management systems.

·         Diagnose faults using approved data, test equipment, wiring diagrams, and technical publications.

·         Replace or align avionics components and wiring in accordance with applicable maintenance manuals.

·         Conduct functional and / or operational checks to verify proper system operation.

·         Document all work performed in accordance with FAA and company recordkeeping requirements.

·         Ensure compliance with Part 43, Part 145, the Repair Station Manual (RSM) and Quality Control Manual (QCM) procedures.

·         Ensure all test equipment has current calibration.

·         Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with company and CRS policies.

·         Assist with aircraft inspections, troubleshooting, installation and AOG support as required.

·         Participate in ongoing training to maintain technical proficiency, regulatory compliance, and stay current with evolving avionics technologies and installation practices.

·         Assist other departments as workload permits.

Minimum Qualifications

·         High school diploma or equivalent.

·         Working knowledge of aircraft electrical and avionics systems.

·         Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and OEM maintenance data.

·         Proficiency in the use of avionics test equipment and diagnostic tools.

·         Must be able to work effectively in a team environment and under minimal supervision.

·         Must possess good communication skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

·         2–5 years of avionics installation experience within a Part 145, OEM, or similar setting.  4 years of relevant military experience is also acceptable.

·         Experience on business jet aircraft 

·         Familiarity with Garmin, Collins, Honeywell, Universal, Gogo avionics systems and others as required.

·         FAA Repairman Certificate or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.

·         OEM or formal avionics training certifications.

·         Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and OEM technical data.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Amass the information needed from the technical sales team, maintenance service manager, Banyan inspection department, and/or customer to produce a maintenance proposal that meets our "Timely, Accurate, and Competitive" quoting mantra.

Complete understanding and strict adherence to the quoting process as detailed in the MRO's best practices manual.

Commitment to get the proposal to our client in a reasonable time set forth and enforced by the MRO Technical Sales Manager..

Responsible for attending daily sales meeting to set priorities for completing quotes in a timely manner.

Responsible for providing research assistance to support the sales team including working with the Banyan parts team, vendors, obtaining pricing, and any other research that may be required to provide a timely, accurate, and competitive quote to our customers.

Responsible for the content and accuracy of the proposal.

Follow the established procedure for tracking proposals from the request phase through the follow-up phase; utilizing the Banyan CRM.

Create new proposal files, update flat rate database as required, and maintain all filing.

Interface with customers when needed to aid with the quoting process.

Ensure the proposals are accurate and understandable to the customer. 

Maintain and update all manufacture pricing, flat rates, and sales booklets.

Participate in all technical sales and support customer events and cold calling campaigns.

Working knowledge of the following:

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

This position requires a thorough knowledge of FAA guidelines and regulations, maintenance inspections, and maintenance practices based on three to five years of "hands-on" experience. An airframe and powerplant (A&P) license is required.  Individual should have basic technical exposure to King Air, Citation, Learjet, Challenger, Falcon, Gulfstream, and Hawker aircraft. Thorough knowledge of FAA guidelines and regulations, maintenance inspections, and maintenance practices based on three to five years of "hands-on" experience. This position also requires excellent customer service skills, and strong skills working with Microsoft Word and Excel. The position requires a valid driver's license and a good driving record. Bilingual is a plus!

 Supporting Responsibilities

  • Work with team to perform and understand Blackhawk new-engine upgrade installations on a variety of single and twin-engine turboprop aircraft.
  • Travel domestically and internationally to provide on-site engine installation support and customer training.
    • Serve as a professional Blackhawk ambassador, demonstrating positive attitude, technical expertise, and strong customer engagement.
  • Support maintenance and airframe/engine projects at Blackhawk’s Waco R&D and certification facility on both standard and experimental aircraft in support of STC development and customer upgrades.
  • Assist in expanding and managing Blackhawk’s PMA parts capabilities, including in-house fabrication and coordination with external vendors.

The Sales Representative - Avionics performs sales activities resulting in meeting or exceeding sales and financial goals; and assists customers in developing the appropriate work scope and works with appropriate team members to ensure successful completion of the work scope to the customer's expectation. In addition, this position establishes and follows Best practices when scheduling projects and completing project-handoff; reviews item approvals for accuracy and applicability. Essential Job Functions

  1. Generates accurate proposals from quote requests, creates Requests for Quotes (RFQ's) as needed, provides timely follow up with customers, closes sales, and releases Service Plan to achieve financial objectives identified in the annual budgets. Supports others service sales personnel in their sales efforts to foster "team selling". Consistently maintains high close ratio.

  2. Prepares accurate and detailed work scopes and works directly with support teams (i.e. Design, Engineering, technical representatives, etc.) to ensure successful completion of the work scope to the customer's expectations.

  3. Promotes Duncan Aviation services at every opportunity including attending conventions and tradeshows, customer visits, intelli-conferences, preparing newsletter and tele-fax articles, etc.

  4. Participates in aircraft make and model teams and develops and supports marketing with developing marketing campaigns for assigned aircraft.

  5. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

·        Perform avionics installation and maintenance projects of all sizes, including retrofit programs on Cirrus and other General Aviation aircraft.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist the Avionics Supervisors by communicating with customers to understand their needs and objectives.

Communicate and work closely with Technical Sales Team,  MRO Service Managers to coordinate service and repairs of aircraft avionics systems and components, including areas of: Com/Nav, ADF, transponder, DME, Radar, audio systems and navigation instrumentation and systems.

Provide continuous updates to VP of MRO on avionics operations and work in progress, manage any difficulties that may cause delays or items that need to be communicated to the customer.

Organize priorities and assign work to technicians on a day-to-day basis for maximum productivity and efficiency.

Act as liaison between avionics operations manager and/or avionics service manager and avionics personnel.

Monitor when job assignments change and that each item completed is signed off and information is written in for items started but not completed.

Assist in opening and closing work orders to keep customers' waiting time to a minimum.

Assist and work closely with chief inspector to ensure that all items are inspected and closely monitor the paper flow to and from the inspection department.

Assist with time and material estimates for jobs and discuss with the avionics operations manager and/or avionics service manager. 

Communicate with parts personnel the expected work order closing, parts that need to be handled as AOG and what parts are expected for that day.

Schedule daily job assignments to technicians in the morning and inform each technician of the shop goals for each day.  Advise and manage changes throughout the day.

Assign tasks to technicians.  Ensure the timely and efficient completion of the work orders.

Assist technicians with troubleshooting or any problems they may have and give direction to efficiently complete work orders.

Prepare documentation and complete teammate performance reviews.

Monitor teammate work schedules including vacation, Saturday, on-call, holiday, etc.

Communicate with co-workers, management, customers, and others in a courteous and professional manner.

Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.

Confirm with all safety standards and practices

Position:      Avionics Technician III- Hourly position, Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm

Reports to:  Avionics Supervisor

Position Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Service and repair avionics systems and components. Must have experience on Citation X, Global Express and Challenger 300/350.  Troubleshoot and repair of avionics equipment to component level, including areas of: Com/Nav, ADF, Transponder, DME, Radar, audio systems, navigation instrumentation autopilot system components, radio altimeters, etc.
  • Enter write-ups of work performed in the computer or on the disc sheet after work is completed.
  • Stay current with changes in the technical area, as service letters are issued on avionics equipment and other informational items are furnished for new product etc.
  • Assist service and maintenance of avionics systems both on the bench and in the aircraft.  Check avionics systems in aircraft after repairs.
  • Assist the avionics supervisor and crew leader with customer relations, closing of work orders and other administrative functions when needed.
  • Assist in maintaining avionics library, service bulletins, microfiche and any new technical information and the orderly operation of the service shop area.
  • Maintain current calibrations status and records for shop test equipment.
  • Perform duties as assigned by Crew Leader or Manager

Required Education and Experience:

  • Requires a minimum of a high school diploma
  • Factory Certification of various types in avionics and repair plus a minimum of three years of previous related experience. Must have experience on citation X, Global Express and Challenger 300/350
  • Valid driver's license
  • Airframe & Powerplant License a plus  
  • Strong working knowledge and understanding of the Federal Aviation Regulations and ability to understand manufacturers manuals
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work in hot and noisy environment

Basic computer skills using Windows related software (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook)

Proficient in reading data design drawings and manufacturers installation manuals

Must have personal set of common tools to perform work needed, preferably marked and shadowed

Knowledge of 14 CFR Part 21, 25, 27, 29, 65 and 145.

Preferred: Knowledge and Familiarity with STC, PMA, and other types of FAA approved data.

Preferred: Knowledge of the use of avionics test sets and equipment
