There always seems to be a market for fresh portable ADS-B receivers, and Appareo released the Stratus 4 — a replacement for the successful Stratus 3. With onboard color display, an eight-hour battery life, and liberal architecture for connecting to plenty of third-party tablet apps, the $849 Stratus 4 might appeal to Stratus owners wanting to refresh an older unit.
