10:15 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. Avionics Troubleshooting: Magnetic Interference
This session is designed for experienced avionics technicians to deepen their understanding of magnetic interference and its impact on aircraft systems. Participants will explore common sources of interference, such as wiring errors, equipment placement, and environmental factors, and learn how to diagnose and mitigate these issues using wiring diagrams, EMI detection tools, and best practices in shielding and grounding. Through real-world examples and interactive analysis, this session equips technicians with the skills to maintain system integrity and ensure accurate navigation and communication performance.

12:45 p.m. - 1:45 p.m. Cirrus - Garmin Perspective to Perspective+ Upgrade Overview
This session will provide a detailed look at upgrading from Garmin Perspective to Perspective+ in Cirrus aircraft. We’ll review the general arrangement drawing to help attendees understand the system layout and integration, as well as highlight key considerations from a completed installation. The discussion will cover equipment changes, wiring updates, and lessons learned during the process, giving technicians practical insight to support future upgrades in the field.
1:45 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Streamlining Your Business With Quality Management
While a quality system is required by the regulators and provides the necessary oversight required for safety, unless it is structured correctly, it provides little or no benefit to the owners, managers and employees. This session will examine simple steps to stretch that system to quality management. We all know time is money, so we will identify the speed bumps that cause lost time and develop systems to remove those obstacles.

2:45 p.m. - 3:45 p.m. Keynote: Matt Hall

A retired wing commander and top gun fighter pilot in the Royal Australian Air Force, Matt Hall is a combat veteran of Iraq, with USAF medals for heroism under fire in his F-15E Strike Eagle fighter jet, supporting troops on the ground.

In 2009, following his decorated career in the RAAF, Australia's very own top gun pilot became the first Australian ever to compete in the Red Bull Air Race World Championships. Matt placed third in his racing debut and since accumulated seven wins and 25 podiums, ultimately winning Red Bull Air Race in 2019 making him the most successful air race pilot in the modern era. He’s a man who knows how to inspire and understands how to manage risk. He’s also the author of the biography, The Sky Is Not the Limit.
