POSITION SUMMARY

The Technical Account Manager is responsible for becoming the technical expert on maintaining, inspecting, and repairing various commercial unmanned aircraft systems.

This responsibility entails close interaction with and building relationships with our manufacturing and service center network partners. The Technical Account Manager is the first point of contact for a service request and will see it through to resolution.

This position is located in Salt Lake City, Utah. Relocation assistance provided.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Support:

  • Manage service requests, work order creation and daily workflow management as point-of-contact for customer
  • Perform hands-on repairs in aircraft-on-ground (AOG) situations
  • Assist OEMs in troubleshooting technical issues
  • Capture and formal reporting of maintenance data

Detailed Support Plan (DSP) creation and implementation:

  • Develop DSPs in collaboration with assigned manufacturers and fleet operators
  • Perform validations of OEM time and parts estimates
  • Determine scheduled maintenance plans and repair procedures
  • Determine test-equipment requirements
  • Review and assess documentation and maintenance plan gaps
  • Identify areas of opportunity to generate consulting revenues
  • Regularly review DSPs and service levels to assure quality
  • Provide input to management on service levels to maximize profits to service centers and Robotic Skies

Training:

  • Assist in development of technical training requirements and documents
  • Coordinate technician training programs
  • Workflow implementation
  • Help design and implement Robotic Skies service workflow system
  • Design best practices for UAS repair process based on experience in manned aviation, including documentation and conformance to regulations

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in FAA Part 145 avionics repair station operations and workflow management
  • Experience working as a certified avionics repairman or equivalent
  • Experience soldering electronic boards and connectors
  • Familiarity with Federal Air Regulations
  • Ability to engage with FAA as required
  • Ability to document repair processes, findings, and ongoing reporting
  • Willingness to travel, often on short notice for AOG situations

Avionics Installer: The right candidate has some experience with avionics installation/testing, electronics wiring, metal work. Experience with Garmin, Aspen, Avidyne and similar products is preferred. Starting pay rate is negotiable and will depend upon experience. Will train the right person.

Schedule, assign and supervise work as necessary.

Monitor accuracy of parts or equipment removal and installation records; ensure identification and timely disposition of defective parts or cores.

Monitor the disassembly and re-assembly of aircraft undergoing installation; ensure equipment and interior removed are accurately identified, recorded and stored safely until re-assembly of the aircraft occurs.

The RSM position will work with the FreeFlight Systems dealer network in support of their efforts to sell and install all of the companys product lines. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recruit and sign new contracts with potential dealers for the sale and installation of company products.
  • Support the dealers in their efforts to sell company products including customer open houses, pilot seminars, and other such field marketing events.

  • Provide professional presentations to owners, operators, and dealers through bi-weekly dealer travel to assigned region.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

The applicant must be able to read, write, and understand English fluently. Qualified candidates should be able to speak effectively to pilots and aircraft owners about company products and how they perform. The applicant must possess the ability to write routine reports and correspondences.

OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Candidates must have a strong command of computer desktop tools such as MS Office [Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook] to assist in completing essential duties. Effectively demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience with Salesforce is a plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

We are a growing FAA certified repair station at (KMBT) servicing single and light twin private aircraft. We have been doing business in the Nashville area for 10 years and, along with our flight training and aircraft maintenance facility, we have a great team and are continuing to grow. Our avionics shop installs EFIS/GPS/Com/Nav/Autopilot/Engine Monitors, etc from all the major avionics manufacturers.

Avionics Installer: The right candidate has some experience with avionics installation/testing, electronics wiring, metal work. Experience with Garmin, Aspen, Avidyne and similar products is preferred. Starting pay rate is negotiable and will depend upon experience. Will train the right person.

A bachelor's degree plus three (3) years full-time equivalent work experience in the Aviation Maintenance Technology field to be taught, or an associate's degree or 64 semester hours and five (5) years full-time equivalent work experience in the Aviation Maintenance Technology field to be taught, or five (5) years full-time equivalent work experience in the Aviation Maintenance Technology field to be taught
  3. EDU 250 - Teaching and Learning in the Community College or equivalent must be completed within two years of date of hire

Desired Qualifications:

  1. Possession of a valid Federal Aviation Administration Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate
  2. A Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution
  3. Five (5) or more years of aviation industrial work experience in general aviation and/or military, air carrier, rotor wing, manufacturing, corporate aviation
